Medical Marijuana Expected To Hit The Shelves of Missouri Dispensaries Soon

Updated: Jul 10, 2023

Missouri patients have been anticipating medical marijuana since it became legal in 2018. Fortunately, the wait will soon be over.

EKG Labs became the first of ten licensed medical marijuana testing facilities in Missouri to be approved by the state to begin operations. EKG can begin testing marijuana products grown by cultivators so they can begin to hit the shelves at licensed dispensaries.

EKG’s Director of Operations, Natalie Brown, stated they are hopeful that medical marijuana will be available for sale at dispensaries by early to mid-October.

Currently, five commercial cultivators and six dispensaries have passed their state inspections to begin growing and selling medical marijuana products. Patients can expect a variety of products to be available for purchase such as cannabis flower, edibles, vape, tinctures, topicals and more.

Before stepping foot into a dispensary, qualifying patients must first obtain their Missouri medical marijuana card. We are here to help! If you are interested in scheduling an appointment or have questions about the process, please give us a call today at 877-303-3117 or schedule your evaluation online.
